Having to have a prolong cut off with the baby’s oxygen supply during delivery can cause oxygen deprivation. Oxygen deprivation could cause the baby to have cyanosis in which the baby will turn bluish and the heart rate of the baby will increase. As this prolongs, it could lead to loss of consciousness, seizures, coma, fainting or even worst, brain dead.
