You need 50 g of milk for a cookie recipe, but you don’t have a scale. you do know that milk has a density of 1.10 g/cm3 . knowing that 1 cm3 = 1 ml, how much milk should you should use for this cookie recipe?

In this case we are given the mass and density and we are to look for the volume. We know that the formula is:

volume = mass / density

Therefore calculating for volume:

volume = 50 g / (1.10 g / cm^3)

volume = 45.45 cm^3

or

volume = 45.45 mL
