In physical science, laws such as the law of gravity allow scientists to predict a behavior in a wide range of situations. for example, an apple, an orange, and a pinecone will all eventually fall from a tree. why are laws of behavior difficult to apply in the field of organizational behavior?

Answer

Because contingency variables impact individual action

Step-by-step explanation

Physical sciences is concerned with the study of inanimate natural objects, including physics and other science related subjects. Laws of behavior are are difficult to apply in the field of organization basically because organizational behavior focuses more on the behavior of humans and the way they interact with other groups. It is normally applied in an attempt to create more efficient business organization. While the law of behavior focuses on more behaviors of it self. So the contingency will impact individual action because contingency focuses on specific situational factors that affect the direct relationships between independent and dependent variables

It is hard to apply law of behavior in an organizational behavior because the organizational behavior because it focuses more on the behavior of humans and the way it interface with the organization and the behavior they posses, while the law of behavior focuses more on the behavior itself as a way of observing the behaviors of which it could produce consequences and outcomes.
