The property of water that allows large bodies of liquid water to exist on earth are variable temperature range and different arrangement of molecules. The water can remain in liquid state at from 0° to 100°C. The arrangement of water molecules at this temperature range is semi-ordered. Water exists in the form of ice and the pattern of water molecules is different in this state. The main reason for the water to exist in liquid state is temperature and arrangement of water molecules. So, the geographical area and the temperature there decides the state of water that exists there.
