the length of a rectangle is 3 feet less than twice the width of the rectangle. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 324 feet,find the width and length

The answer for the question is 163.5 because the equation is 2x-3ft=324ft. You add 3 to both sides which on the left it crosses out and on the right the answer is 327. Then you bring the 2x down and divide. So 327/2 is equal to 163.5
