The midpoint of CD is M(-1,-2). One endpoint is C(-9,-4). Find the coordinates of the other endpoint D.

The first thing that you would want to do is find the slope between points C and M. Once you find your slope, "repeat" it on the other side of your midpoint. Now you can find the coordinates of D; (0,7).
