cost divided by length of fabric

convert to impropert fractions

2 and 1/2=2+1/2=4/2+1/2=5/2

cost/length=
(15)/((5)/(2))
times the whole thing by
\frac{{2}{5}}{(2)/(5)}
we get

((30)/(5))/((10)/(10))=

(6)/(1)=6

cost was $6 per yard
