ok so the hint is very useful and it says to divide the figure into 2 rectangles so if we do so the shorter rectangle's side lengths would be 9, 5, 9, and 5 because that last little bit of length is equal to the longer rectangle and it is also exactly half of 10. so to find the area of a rectangle the formula is a=length* width. so if you were to plug it in it would be a= 9*5 and it equals 45 so you have the area of the first rectangle. Then to find the area of the second rectangle you would do the same thing as the first one. and you would end up with 75. Then just add those two numbers up to get the area
