Explanation:

Consider the provided information.

Part (A)

It is given that customer will place an order for 5 item.

It means the sum of tricycles and wagons should be 5, thus the number of ways are:

5 wagon + 0 tricycles

4 wagon + 1 tricycles

3 wagon + 2 tricycles

2 wagon + 3 tricycles

1 wagon + 4 tricycles

5 tricycles + 0 wagon

Thus, the total number of ways are 5.

Part (B)

List the number of wheels that would be needed for each case.

Wagon have 4 wheels, while tricycles have 3.

The required list is shown below:

5 wagon + 0 tricycles = 5(4) = 20

4 wagon + 1 tricycles = 4(4) + 3 = 19

3 wagon + 2 tricycles = 3(4) + 2(3) = 12 + 6 = 18

2 wagon + 3 tricycles = 2(4) + 3(3) = 8 + 9 = 17

1 wagon + 4 tricycles = 4 + 4(3) = 4 + 12 = 16

5 tricycles + 0 wagon= 5(3) = 15

There are 3 several ways to place an order for 5 items, like for example all or 5 tricycles, the number of wheels that will be needed is 15 wheels, for 5 order of wagons, the number of wheels that will be needed is 20 wheels, then lastly the 5 order combinations like 3 tricycles and 2 wagons the number of wheels that will be needed are 17 wheels.
