(Really need help on this one!)

Robert has $83.00 and is saving for a new skateboard that costs $125.00. He is able to save $7.00 per week. Write and solve an inequality for this situation if W represents the number of weeks that Robert must save to buy the skateboard.

oh this is easy! you do 125 = 83 +7w first you would do minus 83 so the 83 will cancel out then you do 125 minus 83 whatever that is then you divive it by 7 and that will give you w

Robert has earned $83.00 and the skate he wants costs $125.00
He saves $7.00/week

This means he earns $7*w

We also add up $83.00 to the unknown amount of dollars (W).

Set up the equation

7w + 83 ≥ 125

"≥" because his amount to pay the skateboard must be at least 125 or higher.

Move the known term 83 at the right of the inequality with changed sign.

7w ≥ 125 - 83

7w ≥ 42

Divide both sides for 7

w ≥ 6

He must save money for at least 6 weeks!
