Use the points A(2, 3) and B(2, -3). Describe segment AB and find its length.

We know the two points A (2,3) and B (2,-3).
The line segment AB joins the two points.

The x-coordinates of A and B are equal. Therefore the line segment AB is vertical, as shown in the graph below.

Because the x-coordinates are equal, the length of the line is the difference in the y-coordinates.
The length is
3 - (-3) = 3 + 3 = 6

Answer:
Line segment AB is a vertical line with end points A and B.
The length of AB is 6.
