You learned about the conservative backlash during the late 1960s and early 1970s, a reaction to the turbulent and liberal 1960s (political and cultural). What is the relevance of this debate today? Are the catalysts for debate similar or different? Explain.

There is certainly a parallel in that sense. You could also argue this happened in the 1980 election as a response to Jimmy Carter's presidency.

In the sense of nowadays, during the Obama presidency, political correctness and globalism became a major thing throughout the elite establishment creating disenfranchisement between the common American citizen and politicians.

In addition, President Trump's message was the opposite and spoke of a pro-America stance on economics and a message about growing the American economy and military.
