If JK has endpoints J(-2, 3) and K(6, 5), and LN has endpoints L(0, 7) and N (4, 1), then JK and LN have the same midpoint

Given:
J (-2,3), K(6,5), L(0,7) and N(4,1).

Note that the midpoint of a line connecting the two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂) is
(x,y), where
x = (x₁ + x₂)/2
y = (y₁ + y₂)/2

Calculate the midpoint for line JK.
x = (-2 + 6)/2 = 2
y = (3 + 5)/2 = 4
The midpoint of line JK is (2, 4).

Calculate the midpoint of line LN.
x = (0 + 4)/2 = 2
y = (7 + 1/2 = 4
The midpoint of line LN is (2, 4).

The midpoints for lines JK and LN are the same.

Answer:
