Hi!

Some fractions that have a denominator of 8 are..

1/8
2/8 = 1/4
3/8
4/8 = 1/2
5/8
6/8 = 3/4
7/8
8/8 = 1

So to find the fractions that are less than 5/6, first find the GCM of 6 and 8

6, 12, 18, 24
8, 16, 24

Now we have 20/24.

Let's change all of our fractions that have denominators of 8, and the ones that are less than 20/24 with have asterisks around them.

*3/24* = *1/8*
*6/24* = *2/8*
*9/24* = *3/8*
*12/24* = *4/8*
*15/24* = *5/8*
*18/24* = *6/8*
21/24 = 7/8
24/24 = 8/8

So you can pick any of the (simplified) fractions that have asterisks around them for your answer.

Hope this helps! :)
