How do graphs and equations reveal information about a relationship between two quantities?

There is a proportional relationship shown by the graph and equation between two quantities.
For example we have an equation x = 5y, it means x will be 5 times greater than the value of y.
Similarly the proportional relationship between hours and miles can be shown on the graph. If we want to know how many miles one travel in how many hours, we can get the value from graph.
