Hello there!

Speed has the following formula:
S =
(D)/(T), or Speed is equivalent to Distance divided by Time.

Let's check out our problems to solve for the speed.

16.)
We have 770 miles, which is a measure of distance.
We have 120 minutes, which is a measure of time.

Let's substitute our variables with these numbers.

S =
(770)/(120)
Simplify.
S = ~6.41 Mi/min

17.)
We have 2.5 mi, which is our measurement of distance.
We have 0.5 h, which is our measurement of time.

S =
(2.5)/(0.5)
Simplify.
S = 5 Mph (When you divide by 0.5 you are multiplying the numerator by 2).

18.)
We have 244 km, our distance.
We have 2.5 h, our time.

S =
(244)/(2.5)
Simplify.
S = 97.6 km/h

I hope this helps!
