Always remember the priority of operation in any equation, that is:
PEMDAS:
1st P = parenthesis
2nd E = exponential
3rd M = multiplication
4th D = division
5th S = substruction

Applying those priorities give:
10[10:2]
10:5 =2

= 10*[10/2]
= 10 * 5
= 50
