TW = 12 and VW=8

so
TW/VW = UW/TW
12/8 = UW/12
UW = 12 * 12 / 8
UW = 144/8
UW = 18

answer
C. 18

VT = sqrt(12^2 + 8^2) = 14.4222 ( round to 14.42)

Angle V = cos^-1(8/14.42) = 56.3099 degrees ( round to 56 degrees)

angle T = 180-90-56 = 34 degrees , 90-34 = 56

UW = tan(56) x 12 = 17.79

round to 18

answer is 18
