John Dalton was an English Chemist (1766 - 1844) who focused on the model of the atom. Dalton proved that matter is made up of tiny particles, called atoms, and that the atoms cannot be divided into smaller pieces and cannot be destroyed. Other thing that Dalton proves was that atoms from the same element are same and that different element can be combined and form compounds.
