Solution:

Given:

To get the rate of change from the table, we pick two points from the table and use the formula for calculating the rate of change.

Considering the points (1,10) and (2,13),

where;

\begin{gathered} x_1=1 \\ x_2=2 \\ y_1=10 \\ y_2=13 \end{gathered}

The formula for calculating the rate of change/slope (m) is given by,

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Substituting the values of the points chosen from the table in the formula,

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ m=(13-10)/(2-1) \\ m=(3)/(1) \\ m=3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the rate of change is 3.
