The value of x = -6

Here, we want to get the value of x

We start by opening the bracket on the left hand side of the equation

This we can do by multiplying each term inside the bracket with the term outside

We have this as;

\begin{gathered} -1.5(x+2)\text{ = 6} \\ (-1.5* x)+(-1.5*2)\text{ = 6} \\ -1.5x\text{ -3 = 6} \\ -1.5x\text{ = 6+3} \\ -1.5x\text{ = 9} \\ x\text{ = }(9)/(-1.5) \\ x\text{ = -6} \end{gathered}
