What is the slope of the line that contains the points (1,5) and (3,2)?

(5-2)/(1-3)
=3/-2
=-1.5

Thus it should be a negative gradient.

to find the slope of the line, you do y² - y1 over x² - x1.


2-5 over 3-1

2-5= -3; amd 3-1=2; so your slope is negative 3 over 2 (-3/2).
