y= | x | is a piecewise function. Note that whatever the value of x, | x | is always positive (because | x | is an absolute value.

for x = 0 → y = 0
for x = 1 → y =1
for x = -1 → y = 1 (since |-1| = 1)
for x = 2 → y = 2
for x - 2 → y =2 ((since |-2| = 2)

It's a V shape graph with its vertex (0,0) , the origin

Domain = all values of x =x
Range = all values of y ≥ 0 ={y|y≥0)
