I justify whether the expression -4x-8 is equivalent to -2(x+1)-2(x+3) by letting x=3 in both expressions. What is the value of each expression when x=3

Substituting x = 3 into the first expression:

-4(3) - 8 = -12 - 8 = -20

Substituting x = 3 into the second expression:

-2(3 + 1) - 2(3 + 3) = -2(4) - 2(6) = -8 - 12 = -20
