The Little Ice Age is a period when the Earth's climate cooled. This lead to changes in weather patterns that affected agricultural practices and settlement patterns in the northern hemisphere. Flooding was dominant in spring and droughts were very common in the summer season. This dramatically affected agricultural yield and causes population to disperse in search of food.
