22x+4=6 (x+1) can you help me solve

Hello there!

22x + 4 = 6 (x +1)
We need to distribute the right part
22x + 4 = (6)(x)+(6)(1)
22x + 4 = 6x + 6
Now put all the common terms together. Keep in mind that you need to change the sign as you're doing that.
22x - 6x = 6 - 4
16x = 2
x = 2/16
x = 1/8 or in decimal x = 0.125
