Remember, the expression that represents a line is:

y=mx+b

where b, is the y-intercept and the x-intercept is when y=0

Isolating y:

\begin{gathered} 3y=6-2x \\ y=-(2)/(3)x+2 \end{gathered}

The y-intercept is (0, 2)

The x-intercept is:

\begin{gathered} 0=-(2)/(3)x+2 \\ -2=-(2)/(3)x \\ (2\cdot3)/(2)=x \\ x=(6)/(2)=3 \end{gathered}

X-INTERCEPT=(3, 0)

The student error was that he substite x=0 for the x-intercept and y=0 for the y-intercept.
