Slope=m=(rise)/(run)=(\Delta y)/(\Delta x)=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))=(5-3)/(5-3)=(2)/(2)=1

slope = (5 - 3)/(5 - 3) = 2/2 = 1
