4x + y = 10
4x + (-6) = 10
4x - 6 = 10
4x = 10 + 6
4x = 16
x = 16/4
x = 4 the missing value

Answer

Find out the missing value of the solution ( ? , -6) to the equation 4x+y=10 .

To prove

As given the equation

4x + y=10

As given solution is ( ? , -6) .

As a point is always in the form (x,y) .

Thus y = -6

Put in the equation

4x - 6=10

4x = 10 + 6

4x = 16

x = (16)/(4)

x = 4

Therefore the the solution is (4,-6) of the equation 4x+y=10 .
