y= -4x +1
slope = -4
parallel lines have same slope so new line has slope m = -4
goes through the point (-6,17)
y = mx + b
17 = -4(-6) + b
b = -24 + 17
b = -7
equation
y = -4x - 7
answer
y = -4x - 7
