K is between J and L.

So we can write JK + KL = JL
As given JK = 6x , KL = 3x and JL = 27

6x + 3x = 27

Now we can combine 6x and 3x.

9x = 27

On dividing both sides by 9.

(9x)/(9) = (27)/(9)

x = 3.

So the value of JK = 6*3 = 18

value of KL = 3*3 = 9
