A toy manufacturer produces the same toy in 4 different colors: red, blue, green, and yellow. The toy manufacturer has 4 production lines dedicated to the red version, 3 production lines dedicated to the blue version, 3 production lines dedicated to the green version, and 5 production lines dedicated to the yellow version. A toy has an equal chance of traveling down any production line. What is the probability that the toy will be red or blue?

Sample space: {4R, 3B, 3G, 5Y} = 15 TOTAL OUTCOMES.

P(R) = 4/15
P(B) = 3/15

P(R ∪ B) = P(R) + P(B) = 4/15 + 3/15 = 7/15 = 0.47
