Let the resistance of another resistor be xΩ
Current=0.5 A
Voltage=6 V
Total resistance= (8+x)Ω
Current=voltage/resistance
0.5=6/(8+x)
4+0.5x=6
0.5x=2
×=4Ω
Answer is option D
