Answer: About 40 hits

Explanation:

Given : Batting average of a baseball player = 0.254

i.e. 245 per 1000 at bats

If she is at bat an average of 3 times per game, then the number of times she is at bat in 52 games =
52*=156

We know that the formula to find the batting average is given by :-

\text{Batting average}=\frac{\text{Number of hits}}{\text{Total number of times player is at bats}}

0.254=\frac{\text{Number of hits}}{156}\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{Number of hits}=156*0.254=39.624\approx40

Hence, she will make about 40 hits in 52 games.

3 at bats in 52 games = 52*3 = 156 at bats

156 x 0.254 = 39.624

so 40 hits are expected
