Answer: 31

Explanation:

In mathematics we use BODMAS as an short-form for Bracket, Of, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction. It is the sequence of operations to simplify the expression.

The given expression:-
3+4(16 - 9)

By using BODMAS, we first solve the brackets, we get

3+4(16 - 9)=3+4(7)=3+28=31

Therefore, the value of the given expression is 31 .
