Many blacks moved from the South to Northern cities during World War II, looking for employment. After the war, a number of them lost their jobs. Why did this happen?

It's "Companies scaled back production during the postwar years." :D

Many returning "white" Americans wanted their jobs back, and since there was no other way to reopen jobs (becuase of a recession) many of the african americans were laid off.
