(3/4)+x= 9/8
Subtract 3/4 from both sides.
(3/4)+x-(3/4)= (9/8)-(3/4)
x= (9/8)-(3/4)
x= (9/8)-(6/8)
x=(3/8)
Final answer: x=3/8
