Which geometric shape can be described as a fixed distance along a line?

Hey there!

A fixed distance along a line without any 2nd dimension is a line segment. The reason why it's a line segment instead of a line is that lines go on forever in both directions while a line segment stops at some point on both ends. This is what the problems means when it says "fixed distance".
