In the first number the 3 is in the hundreds in the second it's in the tens

the value of the 3 in 6300 is 300
the value of the 3 in 530 is 30

so the value of the 3 in 6300 is 10 times greater then the value of the 3 in 530....or the value of the 3 in 530 is 10 times smaller then the value of the 3 in 6300
