Using the distributive property, a(b+ c) = ab + ac. In this case, b is 30, so the blank is 30.

8×(30+2)=(8×_)+(8×2)

8 × (32) = (8×_) + (16)
256 = (8×_) + 16
240 = 8×_

30 = _
