y= x tan (Angle made by line with positive Direction of X axis) +C(Y-Intercept)

It is given that, graph of the line appears to slant downward from left to right.

⇒It means ,the angle that the line is making with X axis should be:

90°<Angle<180°

as i have drawn the line about the given information.

Tan (90°< Angle <180°)= Negative

So, we can say that slope of line will be Negative.
