The Munich Agreement allowed for Hitler to gain more land in Europe as a result of his aggressive tactics/invasion of other territories. In this case, Germany received parts of Czechoslavkia. This would be considered appeasement because countries like the United States and Great Britain did not punish Germany for their actions. Rather, they allowed Germany to get what they wanted. This only encouraged Hitler and the German army to continue to expand to other parts of Europe. This would utlimately result in World War II.
