Answer:

True.

Explanation:

Linear measurement : It is defined as the measurement of length.It also measure thickness, height and diameter. It is can be measured in meter, inches, centimeter, feet etc.

We are given that

tan 34'15''=(x)/(12)

tan\theta=(perpendicular)/(base)

Therefore, height of triangle =x, base of triangle= 12 units

We change 15 seconds into minutes

1 minute =60 seconds

\therefore 15 seconds=(15)/(60)=(1)/(4) minutes

Now add 34' to
(1)/(4) minutes then we get

34+(1)/(4)=(136+1)/(4)=(137)/(4) minutes

Now , we changing minutes into degree

1 degree= 60 minutes

Therefore ,
(137)/(4) minutes = (137)/(240)=0.5708 degrees

tan(0.5708^(\circ))=(x)/(12)

0.00996=(x)/(12)

x=12* 0.00996=0.11952=0.1195

By cross multiply

x=0.1195 units

Height =x=0.1195 units

It is linear measurement.

Therefore, it is true.
