An algebraic expression consists of variables which are represented with letters like for this case we have n, a coefficient which is indicated by numbers (e.g. 22.5, 7 and 3.4 ) and sometimes exponents Oftentimes expressions contains a number of terms which consists of those elements. To simplify an expression, we need to remember that we can only add and subtract terms that have the same base of the variable. As for multiplying and dividing, we can proceed with these operations accordingly. We simplify as follows:

22.5 + 7(n−3.4)
22.5 + 7n - 23.8
7n - 1.3

The simplified expression would be written as 7n - 1.3.
