Since 0.25 is a rational number, you need to add another rational number. Any rational number will do.

Answer:

The answer is option B : 0.44

Explanation:

When you add fractions, the answer is always rational.

A rational number is in the form of
(p)/(q), where
q\\eq 0 .

We also know ,

Rational number + irrational number = irrational number

Now
√(6) is an irrational number and when we will add it to
(1)/(4) , it will produce irrational number.

Similarly,
\pi and 1.4142135.. will also produce irrational numbers.

So, we have been left with 0.44, which is the answer.

0.44 can be written as
(44)/(100) or
(22)/(50) or
(11)/(25)

When we add
(1)/(4) to any of the fraction, it will always produce a fraction or rational number.

(1)/(4)+(11)/(25) =
(25+44)/(100) =(69)/(100) which is a rational number.
