An organism that transmits parasites and other pathogens from one organism to another is called a DISEASE VECTOR. A disease vector does not cause disease by itself but it spreads infection by carrying pathogen from one organism to another. A good example of a disease vector is mosquito which is a vector for malaria parasite.
