The crust would be the thickest lower into the mountain. It would be thicker there because that is where the crust builds up. as in the mountain is bulit on to of the  crust.

Answer:

The crust will be thickest in the region comprising the mountain

Step-by-step explanation:

The mountains are the distinct geological landforms that are formed either due to the compressional stress or due to the rising up of the magma below the surface of the earth. Here the crust becomes extensively thicker.

In addition to this, the oceanic crust has a thickness of about 7 to 10 km on an average which is very low in comparison to the continental crust, including the mountains.

Thus, the crust comprising the mountainous areas will have a higher thickness than the oceanic crusts.
