On an algebra test, there were 3 As, 5 Bs, 10 Cs, 8 Ds, and 4 Fs. What is the probability distribution for the grades A, B, C, D, and F, in that order, when one of the grades is chosen at random?

You find that for A's it is 3/30=1/10..... so the answer is D

Answer with explanation:

Number of D's on the Algebra set =8 D's

Number of F's on the Algebra set =4 F's

Total Number of grades = 3 +5 +10+8+4=30

Probability of an Event

=\frac{\text{Total Favorable Outcome}}{\text{Total Possible Outcome}}

Probability of Grade A

=(3)/(30)\\\\=(1)/(10)

Probability of Grade B

=(5)/(30)\\\\=(1)/(6)

Probability of Grade C

=(10)/(30)\\\\=(1)/(3)

Probability of Grade D

=(8)/(30)\\\\=(4)/(15)

Probability of Grade F

=(4)/(30)\\\\=(2)/(15)

Option D:

(1)/(10),(1)/(6),(1)/(3),(4)/(15),(2)/(15)
