How do you know if a parabola has maximum or minimum?

PLZ Halp mee idk this and I need to finish this today

Look at the negative sign before the "a" term. For example, "-ax^2+bx+c" has a maximum point because of the negative sign in front of "a"(face-down parabola). This equation, "ax^2+bx+c", has a minimum point as there is no negative sign in front of "a."
