I think the correct answer would be the second option. The statement tha is correct concerning correlation coefficients would be that a correlation of +.89 and -.89 are both strong and equal. A correlation coefficient is a value that measures dependence and correlation between variables. It would have a value ranging from -1 to +1. So, the last option would be wrong. A value of zero would represent that there is no relation between the variables. The negative and positive indicates the direction of their correlation. If you have a negative sign, then it means that as one value increases the other would decrease. For a negative value, as one value increase, the other value would increase as well.
